TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 
Salaried position based on the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 
Work will take place indoors in classrooms as well as in outdoor spaces.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 
 

 

SPECIFIC POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: In conducting this role, the essential duties of a teacher position shall include, but are not limited to the following: 

  1. All conditions of employment as defined in the current negotiated contract.
  2. Tomaintaina roster of students of their classes or programs 
  3. To provide an ongoing evaluation of students.
  4. Tomaintaina liaison with other teachers and specialists that serve district students. 
  5. To help keep parents informed of their children’s progress and meet with parents for   conferences when requested.
  6. To provide instruction to assigned students within your certified areas.
  7. To coordinateactivities with other teachers. 
  8. To providescholasticassessment of assigned students. 
  9. To attendandparticipate in in-service programs, staff meetings, and conferences to keep informed about changes in your subject area. 
  10. Toutilize and follow the current Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) process for   students needing enrichment or remedial programs. 
  11. Maintaina knowledge of current Pennsylvania academic standards as related to their field. 
  12. Prepare and deliver lessons in their certifiedfield of study. 
  13. Maintaincurrent and accurate records of students. 
  14. Administer standardized testing as assigned by administration.
  15. 15. To respond to the needs (educational, health, and psychological) of each student.
  16. 16.Toutilized prescribed programs in the school/district for dealing with student behavior and or needs (e. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), MTSS, Student Assistance Programs (SAP) 
  17. 17. Tofollow all safety proceduresestablished by the school/district. 
  18. 18. Tomonitor/supervisestudents during both academic and nonacademic duties or activities. 
  19. 19.Maintainand complete Act 48 requirements to keep certification current. 
  20. 20. Toperformother duties assigned by the principal or superintendent.
